Hey, Anyone used the MOTORCRAFT SYNTHETIC OIL? I mean its pretty cheap in price for it to be synthetic. $1.59 a Quart here at autozone. I bought some and i was confused. Because i dont think synthetic is suppose to be that cheap per quart. Well anyways, what weight should i use if it is synthetic? I heard about not using anything lower than 15w 50 if it is synthetic oil. Well right now in LOS ANGELES, temperatures are extremely cold during the whole day. Will it affect anything? Its kinda getting like that movie DAY AFTER TOMMOROW, with the weird weather and stuff. Let me know. Thanx.

enlighten me on what u call VERY cold ..

if its below freezing then use 5W30 anything hgiher then freezing and jsut use the 15W

its very cold. no car in los angeles has seen this kind of weather. Well, i will return it and get some 15w50 because i bought 5w30 and i think its too thin and will leak fast.

Someone told me that synthetic oil was only good for low mile cars, then after 75k switch to conventional oil.
