Well Guys....
Victor is comming down this Friday and I think we need a small get together at Orlando Speed World that evening. I've talked with Victor and TJ and we're up for it! :D Who else may be able to attend?!?! :cool: We'll figure out a time but I think 6 Pm may be a good early time to get there and give us time to hang out a bit before the action!

I'm game but no racing for me until the HG's are replaced. Don't want to risk blowing it up and destroying the engine. Now I just have to get home from this business trip before then.

Yeah...well...you know...sometimes they allow Cobra's to run...but you'll have to call ahead and make sure.

I may call OSW sometime today or tomorrow and let them know that we're having a "meet" there Friday. If they don't care, then whatever, but sometimes they'll give a "shout out" to people like that.
By the way, bring your rice *** kicking shoes...they'll be plenty of them there. Sunday is Import Drags...so heads up.

Last time I was there, they were running 13's and very low 14's. The only rice that we are going to kick is if the they blow half way down, or we do a race from here to NYC :D :D

Speedworld.... you must be talking about the one and two's of bone stock honda's. Most of the ones I've seen out there are far from stock.. and run quick. It could depend on what you call "Rice" also. Hell there was a 89 N/A thunderbird there last time that ran 18 flat.

I'll try & make it there for a while. Maybe show off the new wheels :D Won't bring the Stang though ... don't want to smoke out the ricers :rolleyes: Maybe in a few months though, after the 347 stroker goes in :eek:
How late does everyone think they'll stay out for? Victor is supposed to have a leather shifter handle for me.

I called Mike Yates today to see if he'd be intrested in stopping by and he said he'll try to make it by for a bit, probably in the '70 stang. :cool: If everyone who replied shows up we should have a pertty good turnout for a short notice! :D And it looks like that cold front should be directly on top of us for some nice cool weather. Too bad I won't be running, it'll still be fun to see what everyone runs.

It was great to see everyone at Speedworld last night. We had a pretty good turnout incvluding: Dan & Terri, Flip & Marti, Rick & family, TJ, Greg, Victor, Glenn, Myself & Heather. Hope I didn't leave anyone else out. It is always good to renew friendships and chat about SC's and other stuff. Not to mention watching TJ flog on Ben's Mach 1( you're a brave man Ben).
Look forward to seeing everyone soon at Silver Springs :D

Only ran once at somewhere around 14.9 @ 95 MPH. Then sat in the stands and watched.....

Yea, it was a great time. Good to see everybody and finally meet Victor after talking to him on the phone dozens of times. Good turnout for a quick setup, maybe that's what we need to do in the future. Good to race the wife home in her 89, she wants to know how come her trunk lights don't light-up like mine...

Yeah, and for some reason the front of your SC was coverd in tape and you were grillin' us all sammiches on your sammich press with the "3.8" grease trap. Ahh, now I know why the tape was there to keep the grease spatter off the bumper! :D
Definately a fun get together and we had a larger turnout than I had thought we would for a shorter notice. I really can't wait to get that transmission in and am curious to see what I'll run, especially with the colder weather, wider tires and not beieng so nervous now that i got a run in. :cool:

Rick, if we get too bad, we can at least put a supercharger on our wheelchairs, and then we're at least not missing anything. :D

Sorry to hear about the cell, a lot of "cell phone misplacement" going around lately. I found mine fortunately, and a friend found his in between the PS pump and block on his Mark VIII last week, after driving around a full day. Sounded funny when we called his number to see where it was only to hear it ringing under his hood! :eek:

I am sooo sorry I could not go. Eariler that Friday day I had a headache and one of my guys gave me some "Advil". Well after an hour of taking the "Advil" I had some kind of allerigic reaction. Man, my eyes could not stop itching, my skin was itching and I has black rings under my eyes. I asked my tech what was the pills he gave me and he said they were "Advil" and they were in this bag of pills he had. I looked at the bag and there must have been 30 or so pills in the bag. I was allergic to something in that bag. Rick (Sweet90SC) came by the shop to see if I was going and he looked at me like I got the crap beat out of me! I drove home from work feeling dizzy and not so good so I stayed home. I am there for the next one though! Sorry I missed ya all!
Unclenick, you might be allergic to aspirin. When I take it my eyes swell shut for about three days but if I get a shot of anti-histamine (sorry for killing these words) it only lasts about a day. Also you can develope an allergic reaction to anything in only 24 hours. If you are allergic to everything like me, you can get these shots in your back and they can cure you in about 3 to 5 years of everything.

I am allergic to everything, LOL. Do you happen to know thw name of the shot you get, or I'll just ask my doctor when I go Tuesday. I tell you what, I never want to feel like that again. Lasted over 24 hrs and I am finally feeling better today after 12 hrs of sleep today alone. That sucked.
Not sure of the name but what they do is inject all kinds of different things in one inch squares on your back and that tells them what you are allergic to. After that they take what you are allregic to and make a big shot and give it to you all the time till your body builds up a resistance to it, it takes a long time but when their done you won't be allergic to anything at all. You need to see a specialist about it. My father-inlaw is having it done and he said it sucks b/c you feel worse after you leave from each session while you are building up your resistance. In the long run I'm sure it's worth the effort.

I found the lower IC tube is leaking, the seal has pushed out 1/4 of the way but it gets worse. I think she might have a blown HG :( . There is coolant leaking from the right side of the motor and it appears to either be leaking from the seal from water pump to block or the ft of the right side head. I added dye in oil today and cleaned engine really good. Tomorrow will tell the tale if I am going to do HG's this weekend or not! :eek:

Sorry not to beat up on you, but think of it as "tough love". :D :D Its' not brain surgery, just a top end job that's done all the time. Snatch those damm heads off this weekend have them done during the week and put it back together the following week. :D :D

Well, I purchased the heads before I started tearing into her. I just found out that these heads aren't going to happen, so now I'm weighing my options. I've been talking to a few people on beefed up engines and whatnot. Hopefully I'll have a decent amount of money to do things...

I'm Not working so I can have some fun... I think this is the most I have ever been on the Florida Forums...My Younger brother George, and I had a great time... I could have run faster on foot than I ran in the Black Fanthom...I really did have a good time short but sweet...We just want to thank you all for the reception. Its revived my spirits to meet friends face to face not just email or by phone. For those that need lodging for the silver springs show/meet you are all welcome to come and visit BBQ play cars repair them, target practice with BB rifle, Horse shoes, check out the cars etc... If you want to spend the night? I can put up a few folks. Plenty of parking, and we actually have heat, in case its as cold as last year we can build a bonfire and shoot the breeze beer on the house,soft drinks food, computer use free long distance call allowed the rest we can make up as we go... Diane and I Geoge and My sister Donna look forward to meet more of the FLa.Gang. Thanks to everyone!
I ran in the 15's and missed third the second time I ran, I ran worse the first... I think I would have done better the second time.. exept for shifting into 5th instead of 3rd. :mad: I have to come back and do it one more time. Renew my vows with the SC. She wont forgive me untill I do! She ran strong, I did not. The car that is... :o
