Want to start a Chicago Chapter!

Ok the time has come where all of us need to get together and start our own chapter. Iv heard ideas of this happening, but no one ever goes through. Just send me an email at SpeeDemonX@comcast.net if any one is at all interested. once i have enough replys, i will set up a meet date centraly located to every one, and we will all go from there! I am dead serious about this!

as of 2:15 am, 12/3/04, i have submitted an email asking the sccoa for our own chicago chapter to post under. we will see the out come. dont let me be the only email, im sure the more mail they get the better our chances.

Guys/gals, we do have the one email, but bombarding our club email box with emails is not the way to get a chapter started. Obviously, you can use this existing forum to communicate about events and meets.

We have been holding up on creating new chapter forums until we can formulate a more organized approach to developing chapters under the SCCoA main club. Once we have decided on this approach (with member input, of course) we will post better quidelines for establishing chapters.

But in the meantime, please establish meets on a local level and use this forum to communicate.

Well guys it looks like for right now we cannot start a Chapter. BUT from now on if anybody comes up with an idea of any kind at all just post it in the non tech forum and we can use that for meets and such. How many of you are up for a get together at a resturant or something? Seems like most of you guys live on the south side. Sat, nights are good for me and I dont care where. Just a chance for us to meet each other and maybe come up with some ideas of what we may want to do together this spring. We have something started so lets not let it die out. Maybe if some of the other guys in the area see us getting together they may want to jump in too. Tim

ok well i think we have a good 8-10 people. and yes i would love the idea of meeting at a resturant. (not at a bar, Not 21) sry, but this is what i suggest. every 1 reply with there info, location, times available, model, yr of car. and based on all the info, we can all come to a decision on where to meet!

Ok well I have a 90 s.c. I live in Antioch Il. Way north but traveling is no problem. I dont drive the S.C. in the winter. We should plan something soon or it will be just another good idea that died. Sat. is best for me a night would work out for those that have to work during the day. So ok you guys down there on the south end How about we start the new year out right and plan something for the 8th. day of Jan. 2005. That will give us time to agree on a place. Denneys is fine with me. I think its a good idea not to drink and drive. Now lets step up to the plate! Tim

tomarro the gaskets are coming in. i got them from harlem auto (8300 harlem ave.) gaskets $146.45 head bolts $25.29 for both heads. i was so supprised for the price. im so hoping to have all this done by the meet on the 8th. every one is still coming rite? just making sure.

idk really it was just a spur of the moment kinda thing... but i hope to see every 1 there.. invite ur friends with an SC. Bring pictures of ur car ( if you dont plan on driving ur sc in chicago winter weather) i know i will.. a turn out of about 10 or more is what im hoping to see!

Count me out for strip meets. Drag racing doesn't interest me. If beating the crap out of a car for a measly 10-15 seconds of thrill once in a while sounded fun I wouldn't start with a 2 ton unibody car anyway.
