Well after looking at all the Ugly chips on the front of my bumper and hood I finally did the deed today and went to it with some sandpaper..

Im thinking instead of just painting it up again... Im going to do what was done on my dads car... spray some of that Urethane bumpy undercoat type stuff on the botton edge of the hood, as well as the front of the bumper and possibly spoiler. Then paint over it with the normal paint so as to make it blend in. Ive seen this done on several 4x4's as well as some cars... and it works quite nice. As well the Urethane prevents the paint from chipping.

Other then that I figure my only real option is to repaint the whole Hood to make it match... But I think ill just stick with this and the bumper.

its a good idea, but what does the final product look like, is it all bumpy still? show some pictures to let us know.

yep, when you get up close it looks all bumpy. I use it on race cars. Another way is to get a regular paint job and then apply 3M clear film over it. you have to look real close to see the edge of the film. you can see it but its better than the rockguard paint.

I have to do the hood on mine sometime soon, also the rear wheel fender edges.
