What is the project topic? What kind of comments are you looking for? (i.e. Why we like our SC's. Why SC's are better than any car ever built?) I'd be honored if you'd use my car in your presentation. Feel free to use any pic off my member page (http://www.sccoa.com/member/index.php?uniquename=klimala) you'd like. I would also love to see the final presentation when you get it done. Here is something for now...
Depending on the mood of the audience...
"Super Coupes are like porn stars...They appear to be high maintencance, but the truth of the matter is...they like it... and as long as the money is coming in...they'll just keep on putting out no matter how bad you treat them."
For the censored audience...
"I like owning an SC because it's the best of what it is. I know when I pull up to a light next to an LX I know I have the better 'Bird. Not to mention supercharger whine is wicked, and IRS rules on the backroads."

Hey leeklimala
I love the fist comment!! Although it is probly not suited for high school, I will use the second one...haha, I'll add a seperate page on my project if you would like, about your car, and I can ask you some questions about it...if that sounds alright?

Hey Lee,
Im gunna need some more anwsers from you....just trying to think of some questions...
What Drew you to the "SC" in the first place?
Where do you go when you need help/information on your SC?
Do you do your own repiars? Or a special mechanic?
Do you ever attend any special SC events?
Now, are you driven to a FORD or just the SC?
Thanks alot Lee, im pretty sure i'll have a question slide...and then a picture slide for your car....Thanks for your time, and i'll talk to you soon! :)

Can you tell me a little about your accident?
and...
How did you come up with your cold air intake method?
Thanks!
Jeff

1. Two of my friends had them and after annihilating some rear tires and carving through the Carolina countryside at tripple digit speeds I was hooked. It wasn't until a year later that I found one at a used car lot.
2. SCCOA.COM/FORUMS (I ask the experts)
3. Besides the bodywork done after the accident (which was done by my father-in-law), I do most of the work myself. I only send stuff out to get machined.
4. If time allowed me to I would. I am planning on attending the National Event next year.
5. I'll drive/respect anything that is fast. I do however trust and like Fords over the other American companies.
Thanks for the opportunity to "run my mouth" about my car. Let me know if you need anything else.

How far are you from Cold Lake? I was up there for two weeks during Maple Flag earlier this year.

I also had thoes 2 questions...

I also had thoes 2 questions...
The accident...coming around a right hand bend in the road at 50 MPH a smaller white car was approaching me in my lane at a high rate of speed (Figure he was going too fast and was cutting the corner) There was no room to go right as I would have plowed a street sign, so I swerved left into the oncoming lane, when I swerved back I had already gone off the road and slid down into a ditch. I was traveling at 50 mph so I had little to no time (one sec or so) before I hit the driveway culvert crossing the ditch. That sent me soaring (Dukes o Hazzard style) about 40 feet till I landed taking a 4x8 foot swath of the guys lawn with me...this is when it begins to suck...I was still going at roughly 40 MPH and was about 20 - 30 feet from a telephone pole, the options were 1) try to stop and hope I don't hit the pole or 2) swerve and drive out of the lawn. I swerved and ended up dragging the dirivers side of my car along a fence. Finally stopping in the neighors front yard along the road. The insurance company totaled the car!!! If you've seen the pictures, the car was far from totaled. I took the 6 Grand they gave me - the 500 for buying my salvage title back and had my father in law at CAROLINA PAINT AND BODY, in Fayetteville, NC (PLUG) and had him fix it. I was in Iraq when it got fixed so that was my coming home present. There are still some things that need to be fixed (suspension wise) and I still need to bend the radiator back into the right position, I'll probably get the car re-painted again after I get new rims and the suspension fixed.
As far as the fresh air intake, I used all the pieces from the factory airbox and air silencer in the fender. It looked kind of goofy hanging down in front and I ended up accidentally ripping it off on a parking block one day. No biggie, I plan on making a newer higher flowing one soon. As much as I would like to buy one from SCP I can't see spending 150 bux on something I can build for 30.
Thanks,
Lee
