The LX would get its a$$ handed to it vs a SC. That is stock vs stock.

As long as the SC driver can drive a 5 speed pretty good, the SC should take the 5.0 LX. Assuming the 93 LX 5.0HO that your referring to is a Thunderbird. Not sure about it being a Mustang 5.0. Be a closer race I think, but the SC could squeeze it out.

If it was against a 93 Mustang LX then the stang would have to be an auto and the SC a stick, and the driver of the SC would have to be a good driver to pull that one off. They are really close. I had an 88GT completely stock with a very bad tranny in it and got it to run a 15.0.

I street raced a Mustang (don't remember year....maybe 93 or 94).

He must of had a 5 speed, because he would get the jump on me at the start.

However, after we got to 45 mph, I would pass him and pull away.

I did this to him three times in a row!!!

I used to own a 1992 sport with the 302 HO and 3.08 gears. It couldn't even turn over its tires to do a burn out. My money would be on the SC.
