Has anyone gotten their seats (front & rear) re-upholstered? I want to keep the seats, but they are shot. A local shop a few years ago wanted to charge me $450 each for the front seats (non-sc) alone. I thought that was way too much, but I'm cheap. Can someone give me a ballpark $$ figure on what it should cost, or that you have paid?

i went to get a quote once on my 91. the guy at the shop (which does excellent work by the way. ive seen it) said that the seats in vinyl would run about 400 a piece. i didnt even ask about leather. i asked him why it was so much and he said its because you cant just throw a cover on them. they have to be hand stitched. no cheap way about it. check out this thread: http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53424&highlight=perforated+leather hope this helps.

There's a guy in NJ who had his front and rear seats re-done in leather/cloth (trim/surround in leather, cloth in the center). The cloth part was a custom pattern, and they matched the door panel cloth trim as well. It looks absoulutely fantastic. Cost was about $1600 for the whole job. In a year or two I will go to the same guy with my tax refund and hopefully get the same price...
