I went through all that crap with a re-manufactured Ford fuel pump on my wife's Escort GT - who cares about the lifetime warranty if it doesn't come with lifetime labor to replace it. I changed hers' out about 5 times and finally bought a new one. Anyway I also hear that you should get a 1994 water pump, as it was improved over earlier models.
Hope that helps.
