Hi Everyone,
We have been contemplating putting a good exhaust system for the early year's SC's as well as the Newer '92 to 95' I have request almost weekly someone will ask me when I'm going to build good exhaust system! I have been giving it quite a bit of thought and today,I met with some guy's here in Ocala that are willing to do something nice for our cars. I want good quality, sound and of course price!I believe we are going to get them done. I would like to see how many of you think the flowmaster 40's series would be the right sound or some may like the Borla sound.
I'm going to see who will port and dip the exhaust manifolds and dip them to be able to save money on headers if any one needs them, with or without EGR, or headers... The ported manifolods will do the trick for plenty of horse power. I just want some feed back from as many of you... What you think and any suggestions on what you consider I should go with as far as mufflers etc. This will give us a general Idea of what people like overall. so let me know or send me your comments, and questions. I can take with me to the Muffler man. As far as down tubes I'm working on that as well. I want to see what the consesus is with your opinions and professional savvy, It will help me decide on the best bang for the buck. I had a great time meeting some of you and hope to meet more of you at the Silver Springs show. Maybe if the dates combine we could go to Gainsville raceway, and try running there! A little better...I need more practice and slicks?. I really enjoyed the night but was pretty tired with only 3 hrs of sleep the night before I came to visit with Greg and the rest of you, Ron, TJ, Flip, Ben,Chis, Rick,Glenn... I hope I did not miss anybodys name. I plan to come down more often and run better than that slipery track or just me? My slow reaction time and slow reflexes. Otherwise I was happy with the cars performance...The Driver Me Needs some tuning. Thanks to all of you for the warm greetings! It was a real pleasure...!I need as many of you to chime in on this exhaust. :D
Happy Hollidays to everyone, send me you Santas wish list ;)

I'm sure Rick, but I think I will at least have a feel, for us to decide! In the final design. I have to stick my neck out anyway, so I can use all the help I can obtain from everyone that replies. I have one in mind already or actually two, I think that listening to as as many replies, even pm's need be, will help me put the good house keeping seal of diffrent opinions of smart minds will know what they would do if they had to do it over again!
If I could I would change mine from the one I have now and have saved alot of money. It Will give me some options to offer diffrent type of mufflers, sizes 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" to a 3 "and possibly also sell the smaller gas tank as a option, so I do not have to make the big U around the gas tank, I can offer the gas tanks used, but in real good and clean condition. They can also change fuel pumps if they wish to do it all in one big sweep. This will avoid doing the the jobs twice, and offer it as a kit. Also Think about what they may want to do to their engines in the future, or just open the exhaust to keep the heads gaskets on, and add some HP to boot, Maybe just add a performance pulley etc.
without changing from stock which some prefer as a collector. The Mods on a real collector car is a no no it loses its true original design. Just thinking into the future. Thanks Nick, I appreciate your concerns for me and others...
Thankx again
Victor Diane and friends....

I'm in the market for a manifold-back exhaust including ported manifolds and am interested to see what kind of setup you come up with.
I need cats because of emissions testing, and I'm thinking a a 2 1/4 to 3 and back to dual 2 1/4s is my best bet and would probably the most sought-after configuration. I have not seen firsthand any of the resonator or muffler options so I can't provide an opinion as far as that goes.
Right now I've got the original 1990 fuel tank, have not decided whether swapping it is worth it.

Slicks or at least some street slicks would be best, like we discussed. I did my best trying to help with the driving aspect, maybe one day you'll ignore these guys and let me take a pass so I can really see what she's all about.
My wish list: Running Car + High Horsepower/Torque = HAPPY ME :)

Hi TJ,
I really do not like anyone to test drive her on the track, I know how much she can take...Maybe on the street, but not flat out...
thanks I will consider you driving her on the street/Turnpike... I may have wrote my reply not quite the way I inted it to sound, and the quote was not intended to be selfish or abrupt I should have read it more careful the really was no pund intended! The sign off was the way
I inteded it to sound....Hope to see you soon, Had a great time and so did George. Thanks for all the hospitality. You are a good hearted dude.

I think that ported exhaust manifolds are the ticket for SC’s. not sure that they need the $$ for headers. As for the Exhaust, I read allot about Flowmaster, I have the SCP from headers to tailpipe and like it but think it over priced. For me, I would like a great sounding, great flow, well-designed, long life system for a reasonable cost. But then again there is allot of things I want……. :D :D
PS: Victor was great to finally meet you, Rolling up my coin jar to place a order in the future. ;)

Hi RJ,
I know what you mean to much money is right...Been there done that as well. I think we can find a good alternative. I have some Ideas on how to cut the cost and still get the benefit of the ceramic coating and the porting should do it...I could also try to work Wayne Carter on quantity pricing. Thanx fot the input.
Happy Hollidays!
I wish I could help you with the fill you need for your new home. How about a good 20 yard dump truck,It would cut the cost on the fill by 1/2, Good luck RJ.....

Hi Flip, I bought the same thing, and I cannot see paying so much $$$
For the exhaust I bought. I do not like the sound its to monotone. I believe the Ported exhaust and good quality is the ticket for about half price. I have continous exhaust leaks. I just keep tightning it up especially the driver side, Maybe its because thats where I sit :D I had to say that!
or maybe its me :D :D :D

No problem Victor. I have the 40s on mine and it did sound awesome till I had the high flows put on and the resonator deleted. And now that the cats are gutted, it's almost horrible. I need a good resonator and maybe good cats, but first things first. If you go with high flow cats, resonator of your choosing (I know you have one in mind :D ) and the Flowmaster 40s, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the sound or performance.

Hi, David, every one has been real helpful and I have some options which we will able to offer to the Individual SC'ers that may want something out of the parameters we have been studying to get a exhaust that will be a little versitale...Its Important to be able to mix and match to a certain point. The main objective is to make it affordable, easy to ship, quality, and for the exhaust to have a certain personality that everyone can endorse...Kind of like the "Harley Davidson" it has the capability to change from dual rear pipes such as the Road King, or be able to attach "Screaming Eagles" This is what we would like to be able to achieve. Thankx for your Imput, as well as the rest of the group which have been very helpful!!! I will still be open to suggestions. We plan to have something on the Market very soon. Actually Next Year! Probably by the first or second week of January. Cheers to you and everyone else. :)
Happy Hollidays. Thankx again.... You are a bunch of great Individuals all of you :) :) !!! I really appreciate all the Interest in this subject, This endorses the Interest we have, to please as many as we can.
Thank you so much.
We will be working with some new people you all know very well working hand in hand very soon Indeed :D ;) :)
All our best to everyone! May 2005 be a safe Healthy and prorperous year to the entire SCCoA Community.

not to be mean or anything but is seems if your gonna go all out with ported and coated manifolds and bigger piping the flowmaster would be a bad idea to use....just seems like it would ruin the whole set up....have you ever looked inside of a flow...its like a rat maze. i would use like a magnaflow or a dynomax muffler...something with a straight thru design...just my opinion tho as i already have a good system on my car but its real quiet

I wrote you a huge reply last night, then the computer froze up! Yes! I have seen a a cross section from the Flowmasters, and you bring up a real good point. We have already been in touch with some folks from "Magnaflow" and Dynomax. We have ordered a complete set of their cat back system. I agree with the Flow of the Magnaflow and the Dynomax, It should arrive here next week...You are right about the staight thru design...Its one of our choices that we are seriously considering. The Flowmasters and its quality, Their web page is something I have visited quite a bit. The Dynomax is good aswell even though, I have had dealings with Flowmaster thru one of our Reps. The Dynomax is cheaper in price and also is a viable option we will try to accommodate as many as posible even with the Flowmaster which we already sell their resonators. As I said in my previous reply... I want to put something out that will give as many options as possible! We are having these made in Ocala. Found a real good Biker Dude that is very good and I believe honest and so far understands what we are looking for in Price quality and knows exhaust systems well.He has his own shop, We can have them made ala carte. Also he is willing to package them up for us. The delivery time will vary from a week to 10 days more like ten days at first, it depends on how the orders come in? I think once the word of mouth hits the community we will keep him busy... He is already doing two for us a 1990 and a 1993. I will need to get more Exaust Manifolds!!! So every one listen!!!!!! up...I'm in the market for the stock manifolds! I would like to avoid the EGRs if possible ? and can get the what is needed done to close the EGRs if the customer wants EGRs we will have to have their exhaust manifolds as a return or will have to charge extra for them! Actually this goes for all the exhaust manifolds, unless you want something very special we will try to accommodate and price could be a bit more.... I do not see this as a problem. We have a few but need more, more and more. We will pay for them up front or discount a price for their exhaust or a rebate type of deal.Once we get the return ones or the cores for a better word.... The same as Magnum Powers does with the Magnaport 11 they always pay you back for your blower, but get to keep it until your blower arrives at the door step, so its the same as a core just do not expect alot of $$$ for the manifolds this will help keep the prices and delivery time moving quick, and ready to install. Thankx for your advice it is very valuable to keep Ideas coming this will help us all get a exaust system made almost to the specs you desire. I plan to talk to my partner in this matter to help get this accomplished at a fair and reasonable price!
Take care and we hope to see you around the store. I think you all can see all the diffrent things we are carrying now compared to what we were selling last april. This is when we became Independant sellers no associations with anyone! Just the Mfg. and Spinningwheels...We have quite a bit more coming not just the exhaust, and things are already being done ;)
All our best to you!

Hello This is almost a news letter...I hope you are doing real well. Jake,Greg,TJ,Rick,Nick,Brian,Nate,Flip,Brian,Greg, David,Glenn,Thomas,
Richard,Dan, If I forgot anyone its the sometimers not the Alheimers.
We have been working on quite a few things. I have not had much time to do very much exept work. I'm in need of some assistance lately. Things have been moving along new products and many things happening and others taking longer due to lack of man power. My Brother has been pretty sick and has not recovered since the day I had to leave the show in Ocala. I have been in touch with a few of the guys but work and other distractions keep me glued to the computer and the phone. As far as the exhaust the only hang up is again Man power and an assistant I'm waiting for. I can get them out. The other draw back is the early years. I can go with the ported exhaust manifold as long as its ported to the max without going too thin. The other is the early year models and the gas tanks. I have the rest pretty well done as long as I can get a friend to start assisting me as planned. Otherwise I need to make some other arrangements. But so far I believe the partner and I will join and get things spinning as we have planned for quite sometime. I need help with the regular everyday work outside work, such as purchasing parts, cars, engine pulling, inventorying, reps and new services, some transmission possibilities which are more probable than not. We have a news letter that will be coming to many of the people we have done business with pretty soon. We would like pictures of your SC's for the first edition of the Newsletters and any good stories you care to share. The rest is pretty much new ideas and services and savings on different promotional things up and coming.Thats all for now. I also need to get my son's car's engine running as I seem to have a problem. I believe I blew an intake gasket because I was rushing for the meet on the 30th that was cancelled. We hurried to get it done right but we missed something. My friend and I worked pretty hard to make it but things were so rushed that it did not run as we thought it was going to :( That's O.K. It will get done. Diane and I have been working pretty hard, have not heard too much from some of the guys. T.J I just did not have time to help him out with the things he needed. Nick stays in touch all the time and makes me laugh on a regular basis. Jokes and has become a good friend. I call him Son. Long story. Ricks cervini is somewhere in Ocklahoma, or Kansas. I believe they found it it went around the United States. He also stays in touch, Greg I speak with regularly, We talk about a few things which we have been discussing for sometime. Work keeps him from being as free to do all he would like to. I think with some man power and assistance we would be able to have the exhaust ready to deliver in a mattter of weeks. Any one that would want one would need a ported manifold or I believe the later years of the V-6 cougars have a good Greg has one that has a 2 1/4 collector on it that I feel would be great. The manifolds and mufflers and the style is already done. Its all SS and the opening coming from a down pipe into a 3" then coming back out with dual 2 1/2 out the back with turbo mufflers. The system would be all the same more or less depending on the type resinators or mufflers that would have the best sound. So since the 89' 90' 91' would have the most demand and the later years would also benefit. This would be capable of approximetly about 400HP with some modifications possibly. The only thing left is to actually place one on a dyno and see how it tunes out. We have access to a dyno at anytime. I have been working on some other things such as th SP Perfomance Rotors and Pads, all of the BHJ products just about anything, any would needs I can have for you not jus balancers just go to their site call me and I will work with any of you. I havent heard from TJ latelly I guess he is waiting on me? I want to keep everyone satisfied! Its hard being a vendor because sometimes I just want to give things to my friends. In business its just not practical or profitable. Charging people what I need to charge is hard for me because I do not want to charge my friends anything. I like all the friends I have met and tried to be just a regular guy. I guess you all know that the Super Coupe out handled the Mustang on a road course and it handled 3 to 1 times better than the Stang. The supercoupe was stock and the stang was a newer model but the Mustang was no match for the Super Coupe on a road course The Super Coupe beat it hands down on any obstacle course... :) I will keep spinningwheels going strong for another 3 to 5 years Max then someone else will take it and add their energy to it and hopefully keep it spinning or I will close it or sell it to some one that whats a good future and a full blown business, built on a solid foundation good credit and quality accounts, merchandise and a good charter. I'm hoping the right person will come in soon, or I will be making some changes for my retirement years. Diane and I work very hard at this to keep everyone enjoying good prices and good service as well as good friends. We are always here to help anyone with anything they need if we have it. I hope to make a few of the meets again soon. I will drop by and say hello or even make it down to gregs anyday and give the Elliot a run at OSW. I also will be handlding some cams very shortly. I guess I will answer any questions anyone may have for me, and hope to keep you all as happy with Spinningwheels as we always have. We have come a long way in 1 1/2 to 2 years. Its not been easy but it was started from the ground up. After we became independent and we had to either close it or go for it... so we chose to go for it. We're Still here!

Victor,
I called you a few times a couple of months ago and left some messages on the machine and with Diane. I never got a call back and figured something major was up.
I'm going to make use out Ben's "Rust Bucket" by using the engine that's pretty strong. No one would pay him any attention, so I figured it would just be easier for me to deal with it. Just don't be too surprised when Ben has a 12 second SC or Mustang...it's been in the works for a few years now. He may not know a whole lot now...but he's listened to what works and what doesn't, and doesn't cut corners when it comes to the right part. He'd already have a low 11 second GT...but that's my fault, not his.
I think I've got a lot of the parts and whatnot that I need. I just can't wait any longer. It's honestly not worth me saving a few extra dollars here and there if I'll be sixty before I can start the car.
Good luck to you, and I may need to look you up in the future...or we can have a beer when you're around, but as for my car, the parts I already purchased have been quality and I may need more in the future, but a 12 second car is just a dream until the 14 second running car can be modded.

Well TJ, I'm Glad Ben will have a 11 sec. SC or Mustang, and I'm glad that you are also rolling. That's what it all about. Having fun and doing what you like. I'm also working on a special car but It will not be ready until May. Just got the heads and Injectors I'll need but the rest will be May untill it arrives! I need to finish my Son car which I have worked on for almost 3 years. TJ You do know that I'm busy If you left messages with Diane she gave them to me. I'm sure when I see you we will have something new to talk about and not the same old subject! I could not get Ben to call me on his cell phone, he told me he forgot he had a cell phone  Huh...! Intead you told me a few things of why he could not call. I wrote Ben plenty of PMs but he was to busy and so was I. I guess I'll see you when ever I'm in the area. Good to hear from you. Stay safe and I'm glad you will be eating up the track soon! :) ;)
