code 113 - Help

All, I have had a rash of sensors going bad on my SC over the past 6 months. I suppose that it is due to the 150,000+ miles on the car. Thus far, I have not had any problems with repair and replacement. Until now... I am recieving a 113 "intake air charge temperature sensore above maximum voltage / -40degree indicated". I have replaced the sensor with no luck.

Has anyone had this problem and can you guide me to find the fault.

Thanks -mike

It sounds most like it is an open circuit between that sensor and the EEC.

A quick way to check would be to short the sensor out and check the codes, then leave the sensor uplugged and check the codes. I would expect that to cause two different codes, the one you have now for the sensor above voltage, and another for the sensor beign below voltage.

If you codes stay the same for both condidtions, you will probably have to get access the the PCM in the passenger kick panel to check continuity between the EEC and the sensor connector.
