The big D man and his lovely wife said the 1.7L huffer should be coming pretty soon. Possibly shipping by the end of the week.
I suppose if I get it before Christmas I will have to send them a present. I was thinking something like a picture of me doing a burnout in front of Mike A.'s place.
Actually I have been giving the Dalke's a lot of crap. They have taken it pretty well. I just hope they don't powercoat my stuff pink.

You shouldn't have put that thought into David's head. It might just happen now. :)
David just cashed my check, so I don't think Julian is going to see his AR. :D (you will only get this joke if you read a previous thread about shipping Julian's AR)
On a side note; Julian when are we going to get together so you can get your top?

Mikey, I sent you an email. Jeez, do you ever check it?
I get the joke and I can assure you it will be sent to my address. I have given Dalkie enough crap already, I am sure he would be scared to send it anywhere else.

This statement I don;t get? Josh/Julian? what?

What email? When did you send it?
Give David Dalke the idea to powder coat your AR Pink! That actually might go good on a blue bird. ;)

Rock on Julian! Can't wait for someone in the area to have one and run it. I'd like to see/hear one. Let me know when the inlet is available - that'll be a nice upgrade for my 94/95 blower ;)
And if your AR does get powdercoated pink and you don't want it, I'll take it off your hands for ya :D

It took a dump on me with less than 3000 miles on it so I had to send it back to Walbro. They said it will take them 4-6 weeks to test it and if it was a manifactures defect they would replace it. If not, I have to buy a new one. :(
My system was ALL new, so that shouldn't be an issue. But 4-6 weeks to test it is a bit out of line IMHO......... Good thing it's not my daily driver .......

Mike,
I am thinking about coming. Maybe you should bring the 93. We could have #67 VS #68 on the fastest list against each other. My snow tires hook up better than those BF Goodrich's I had at the club meet.

I sure hope the AR wasn't shipped UPS and was involved with that fire. That would suck.

Now there's an Idea!!!!!!
Actually, two reasons.
1). It's all tucked away in storage, and......
2). No Insurance on it over the winter.
I could run the 92 LX ...... can you say "door mat" ........... :D

wow it sounds like everybody is going to have a busy winter
so what's everybody's official 'to do' list during the next 3-4 months?
i'll start:
fix all of my car's leaks(tranny, powersteering, and coolant).
maybe do a mod or two :p
i just bought a civic for a daily driver and i'm in the process of saving up for a saaaahhhweeeeeeet body kit.
(that was a joke)

As far as mods - I agree with above.. fix the leaks :D I've got a leak in my tranny cooler line that I need to fix and I think I'm leaking something else somewhere but not totally sure what it is.
As far as actual mods - an IC fan and 5% OD SCI Jackshaft pulley are for sures. I'm fairly sure that I'll be scoring Julian's MP Plenum after his AR is on (right? ;)) which will help me. Throw in 3.73's and I'll have a pretty good winter. If I can play my tune right, I'll upgrade to 42# injectors and get a nice dyno/tune in the spring and be set :D

Let's see...Projects:
First off is the exhaust and a fuel pump. That will be going on the week after X-mas. I'm thinking about porting some manifolds too, but we'll see if I've got time.
My biggest project of all though is the front suspension. I've had the parts just laying around now for a while, but now I will have time to get 'er done. And that is a whole new front suspension, including spindles, M8 brakes, rack and pinion, etc. I've got 3.73's sitting on the work bench too, but I"m not sure if I'll get to those or not.
Other minor things; plugs, MAF and some stuff I'm probably forgetting about. Then there will be the tune next spring if it all goes well.
I've also got a lower intake manifold project and a head project that I'll be working on as well. I'm not sure when they will be done though...
