I beginning to think my SC doesn't like cold weather much
I went to lower the driver side window, heard the motor go, the window moved a bit then stayed, so that meant it was frozen so I left it alone and tried the pax side and the same thing so I left it alone.
Drove to work and tried it again with the driver's side, the window started to come down the it looked like the back of the window got stuck and the front went down, so of course I stopped it and went to put the window back up and damn near lost it right out the door as it jumped the frame. Now I have to guide the window as it comes up till its closed, and if I want to open it, I have to pull the window down till it meets the "track" its suppose to sit in, and its acting like there is no guide inside the door. Motor seems to be going good.
Pax window just won't come down unless I pull it down, but it goes up okay.
Any ideas? I read some articles about plastic cams that get stripped, but this doesn't seem to be the case, and the motors are running good.
Meanwhile, me just leaving windows closed.

It could be that the velveteen coating on the rubber window surrounds and guides have worn out leaving the bare rubber against the glass. Cold and / or damp conditions can make the window pane stick where these two materials contact each other. A quick spray of silicone lube on the surrounds will allow the window to slide better. The long term solution (if this is your problem)would be to get new surrounds.

Seeing as mother nature was nice enough to give us some mild temps out, I finally got to open up my drivers door to see whats happening.......
The two white clips that are glued to the bottom of the window where, well lets just say they weren't sticking anymore. I had another car a few years ago do the same thing and it became a yearly job to reglue these on with the regular glue that is used for these clips.
With that in mind, I went up to home hardware and had a chat with the resident know-it-all there and he told me to try using this stuff called P-7. He said he's used it to cement/glue things together including plastic to copper pipes and he has yet to see anything come apart, and this stuff works on glass.
I'll be putting the drivers window back in tomorrow, and checking the weather to see if the temperature will hold through the weekend and if so I'm going to do the pax window. If not, then like everything else, its going to have to wait till spring.
I'll keep you all posted as to how well this stuff works :).

Ok,
This stuff is working miracles...... I stuck some plastic to a glass bottle and tried to wrench it off, and I had to use my avenger pipe wrench (its big LOL) to break the plastic off the glass. So with that in mind, I guess I'll end up stripping the plastic gears before these will come of, for now anyways :)......
It looks like I'm going to have to replace the rubber around the sides and top of the window frames for both doors, as the felt is all but warn away. I've siliconed everything for now, but does anyone know where I can get new stuff and how much this rubber is going to cost?
Thanks

Tried everything from silicone to contact cement. I was doing door panels in three minutes flat!! Then I got Automotive GOOP in a Christmas stocking from my Mother in Law. "Stronger than Glue" it said. Well didn't it do the trick. As far as know that window is still going up and down like a whore's drawers on payday. And is stays flexible even @ -30. Automotive GOOP. They got Goop for shoes, hardware, furniture etc. $6.00 a tube @ Ukranian Tire. Cheers.
And holy crap, Batman, she was living just outside Hagersville at the time. She retired a few years ago. They're still looking to replace her. She was a test pilot in a broom factory.
