Many thanks to Ed and to all the members and their spouses for a great time. The food and the company were both excellent. Congrats to those who took home the raffle prizes. It wont be long until the spring is here and we can again have visions of horsepower dancing in our heads, even if it is a 4.6!!!!!!

Matt and Bev,
Although I know you've been out to other events in the past, last night was the first time I actually met you. It was a fun time! I was glad to have made your acquaintance. Hearing some of the stories about your car (DON'T GO TO CANADIAN TIRE FOR AUTO SERVICE!!!) really made it clear that you have been long time T-Bird fans!
Everyone,
Alecia and I had a great time. As Matt mentioned, it was another great job by the club executive pulling this dinner together. I'm sure that sometimes it seems like a thankless job for Ed, Les and Andrew. I hope they know how grateful we all are for their efforts!
Ed mentioned it at the start of the draws for the door prizes... This past year certainly wasn't one of our best for club participation overall. I think we had some truly fantastic meets, like the first time we met at the Abbey Grill this past Summer, but overall I think that we've seen fewer members participating in club track days, dyno days, weekly meets, etc. I'm not quite sure what the issue was for many of us, and I'm definitely one of the members who didn't get out to nearly as many meets as in previous years. I doubt very much that it was a conscious effort NOT to attend. That being said, as we get ready to start a new year for the SCCoO, I hope we can all make that 'extra effort' to come out and participate. When we all gather as a group, I don't think there's a person in the crowd who doesn't have a good time!
In the meantime, I know there are more than a few of us with big plans for mods over the Winter months. We've sort of made it a tradition to band together and cooperate to make everyones' projects a success. I expect the same will happen this Winter and that we'll be eagerly awaiting Spring so many of the T-Birds and Cougars can come out of 'Winter hiding' built better, stronger, and meaner than ever! I know I'm looking forward to driving my car again after the front shock swap, and the cam swap. Steve Richards '89 SC is almost ready to race. Greg Coleman has big plans for his XR7, and it sounds like that car might be modified further by Spring. I know he has also been working to get the HG replacement done to Nickey's car, and it sounds like some performance mods will factor in to that project. Andrew V. has plans to finally get the Gremlins out of his LX's tune. Jason Wild has been talking about making changes to the setup on his SC, and it sounds like he plans to have the car ready for Spring also. And I am probably forgetting about a host of other members with projects on the go, or in the works for this Winter...
The coming Spring should be very interesting!
Best regards,
Sean
