I had a similar squeaky noise from left front whell when turning - mechanic replaced some bushings in the steering - was fine for a few days - and now squeaks again. Next I may try an exorcism. Dunno if this helps.

It can be a few things. Power steering pump, upper or lower balljoints and/or tie-rod end are all possible suspects. If you can hear the noise more from under the hood then it's probably the power steering pump. If you can hear the noise more from beside/under the car then it'll be the balljoints and/or tie-rod end. You can at least narrow down the possibilities with this info. IF you need to replace the balljoints i'd recomend getting the entire control arm, as opposed to JUST the balljoint. It's a little more expensive, but you get new bushings, too. Well worth the $$$, IMHO.

could be the uca/lca ball joint, inner or outer strut bar bushings or tie rod ends. best thing to do is try everything ppl suggest, even though some of us had the same problem there could be multiple symptoms. when i had a problem with my lca ball joints there would be no noise if the car was jacked up and the steering wheel was turned because there was no pressure on the ball joints. get under the car and make a visual inspection of the vital suspension parts. check for any play in the tie rod ends, ball joints and so on.
tnx for information i will have that checked...
the funny thing is that everything is back to normal, it dont squeak no more.. what the hell?

squeaking might have something to do with cold weather....

that squeek is very common on fords all my cars did it at some time or another.its usually like the other guys said upper and lower balljoints and it will usually start during the winter because of the cold....ur best bet is to try a lube them up and that should take away ur squeek problem.....if not then either replace them or just live with it.... but u'll notice once it gets warmer out, that squeek will go away
yeah tahts how it appears to be, tnx for the info guys

Does this REALLY mean it's okay, or is the cold weather just providing you with a false sense of security... the calm before the storm. Think about it. I think it would still be a good idea to at least have your balljoints and tie-rods checked. Winter is here and that's TWO really good reasons you should. One being that the snow on the roads, with all the little bimps here and there, will tax your suspension MORE than in summer. The other reason... do you really wanna get screwed in the winter? Spend a couple of hours and get it checked by a mechanic you trust. It'll be worth the peace of mind, or the forewarning.
