I thought I was getting clutch chatter but it turned out to be....

My driveshaft. I suspect that the U-joints were toast. With the new MK8 aluminum driveshaft the chatter is gone. It sure is smooth now, the interior vibration is noticeably lessened. It also means I don't have to tear apart my spare tranny and replace the bearings, they're apparently Ok after all. I can't wait to get this thing back on the dragstrip again.

Perfect, I just changed my Differential out because it was toast. Too much crackling and popping on tight corners. Well, now the corners are fine, but there is a chatter when letting out the clutch SUPER-slow, as well as a vibration right at 3000 rpm's. Does any Mark 8 drive shaft fit into a 5-spd, or...?

A 93 one piece needs to be cut and balanced and have the yoke changed to fit a 5spd. It cost me $256 for a junk yard shaft and labor, installed.
