1995 Thunderbird SC, 5-speed. One of the less-than-500 made in the final model year of the SC. 162,000 miles, mostly highway. Starts and runs very well, drives great. Has been very reliable.

$2400.00.

Car is located in Stirling, NJ 07980. Less than 30 minutes from NYC, close to Rte 78 and 287.

Exterior is dark blue. Interior is gray.

-3.8 SC motor. Engine is internally stock
-5-speed M5R2 transmission. Stock gearing and limited-slip rear-end.
-Usual power features: windows, locks, driver's seat, mirrors, semi-auto climate control, cruise, electronic ride control. All the power stuff works.
-Half-leather seats
-Aftermarket single-disc Pioneer CD player with aftermarket Infinity 6x8 2-ways in rear and Clarion plate (5" with separate tweeter) in front; all hook-ups for subwoofer in trunk (power, RCA line ins, remote switching).
-Stock 16" SC wheels

-Does not have autolamp, moonroof, or power passenger seat.

The Good:
-New motor mounts, new power steering pressure hose.
-Fresh oil and filter change.
-Recent rear brakes and rear tires.
-Replaced cam sensor, fuel lines.
-SC Performance cold air intake with K&N filter.
-Supercharger is quiet
-All electric stuff works, air conditioning works well.
-Interior is in good shape, leather on driver's seat is worn, but not ripped
-New LH headlight and marker light, new RH headlight and marker light will be included with car, as will an extra set of solid motor mounts.
-Runs clean and well, daily driver.
-Clean NJ title.

The Bad:
-Needs RH side mirror only. Casing and motor are functional and in place, just needs the actual mirror.
-Very light (~10 MPH) deer hit on LH front corner. VERY minimal sheetmetal damage, just some minor bending at the hood corner above the LH headlight. This is why the headlight and marker were replaced. No real paint damage on hood from hit, and damage is not even visible from 20 feet away. Hood opens and closes just fine. E-mail me for pictures of this.
-Usual cosmetic blemishes and wear from 162,000 miles of daily driving. Paint is in overall good condition though.
-Due to Ford's ingenuity in placing stickers, the speedo only works up to about 70 MPH, because the sticker on the back is inhibiting further movement. An easy fix if you remove the dash/cluster.

I will provide a FREE CarFax report to seriously interested parties. You can use my CarFax account to run the VIN for yourself.

I'll try to add a picture or two here. E-mail for DETAILED pictures, including pictures of blemishes and hood damage.

This car would be a great starter for a new SC owner as-is, a great rebuild for an enthusiast, and an easy restoration for the mechanically inclined.

Need to sell because I just bought an Acura TL Type S. Has been a great car since I've owned it, but there's only room in the driveway for two.

Seriously interested? E-mail me for more info, VIN, and pictures.

Here are some basic pictures. The LH headlight shot shows the full extent of the hood damage, which is pretty minor:

Not since I have had the car (from 86k on), and there have been no problems with them, either. I have a suspicion they were replaced as part of Ford's recall, but I couldn't prove it.

The car has not been driven hard. Not grandma-like either, but not balls-to-the-wall by any stretch.

Actually, I haven't had HG problems on any of my 3 cars in my 10 years of owning SC's.

Here's a couple more pictures, and I've dropped the price a bit. I am open to offers as well, as long as they're reasonable.
i.e., if you have $2200 saved, can't afford a penny more, and REALLY want one of these, talk to me.

Good morning. This is Julian. I sent you an email rather late last night and I figured that you might be at work and can't check the email, but you might be able to check the forums. The basic jist of the email stated that I'm coming from Knoxville, TN, as soon as you make contact with me so that I can check it out. Cash is in hand and I'm not a BS buyer. This car seems super clean and I want to look at it. Please get back to me ASAP so that I can make plans to leave as it's going to be about a 12 hour drive. Email me back at, don't laugh, Badassbowtie2001@yahoo.com, yahoo IM at badassbowtie2001, or AOL IM at Daddytotaylorb or call at 865-389-4068.

Thanks a bunch,
Julian

Hey guys,
The car now resides in RI. I picked up the car yesterday and drove it home.

I thank Mike for his honesty as the vehicle is in exactly the condition he described. I always expect there's more to the car's condition than described, but this car appears to be a great runner....so far. LOL! I can imagine I'll have the Hg's blown in no time.

I need a car like this to do a 5 spd. manual trans conversion on my '95 LX. I don't care what the shape of the car is or if it runs. I can come to your home, pick up this car, and pay CASH in hand on the spot no questions. My condition is that I would like to talk with you about the price of the car. I can pay what you are asking, but then I need to part the car out. Between the front clip, wheels and tires, engine, and rear end I will part out the car and make back all or more than what I paid for it at 2400.00
This I would normally no questions, but I also have in my driveway the '95 Mark VIII which is supplying the new DOHC 4 valve 4.6 along with a 67 Nova and a '91 Camaro. I simply do not have the ability to hang on to this long enough to part it out.

Share your thoughts with me...
