I've seen one of those too...a while ago. Same thing, i thougth it was a convertible and chased it for a while to take good look. Whats the deal with those...i've never seen an option for that rag top...maybe dealer installed?

Its a dealer option. They put a fiberglass piece with the cloth on it over the steel top. They used to sell them here and call them the Chicago addition.

Tim just why would they call it the Chicago eddition? Surely to God Chicagoians do'nt think that looks good. What an insult to the city of Chicago. :( :(

Whoever is responsable for the continental kit on the Tbird should be beat with a bullwhip then drowned in gasoline and then dragged by a school bus through a cactus field. Those 2 cars are clear proof for the need of planned parenthood. I dont know whats worse.....the people that designed and built them or the owners themselves. :confused: :( :(

aww man thats nuthin. You should come to Detroit. We'll put a convertible top on a pinto if someone says it looks good. I just heard on the news that Chrysler higher ups are pretty pissed off because so many people in DETROIT are asking for dealer installed tops. I hate them and have only seen a few cars that look good with that treatment.

There's one that is in Lincoln - white with a blue top. I've seen it a few times and I don't really care for it. But I don't like that style roof/top at all anyway unless the car truely is a convertible.
