Just curious as to what yall think the avg. life span of a 1995 super coupe 5 spd transmition is and also how long does a clutch for it normally last. Mine has 80,000 miles on it now and i think the clutch is goin out. How much should a repair like that cost? Thanks!

I don't think there is a straight answer to your question, it very much depends upon how you drive. For example, my 1990 went to 246,000m on the original clutch; but it was all highway driving. On my 1993 for example, I changed it at 150,000m because the slave cylinder failed - but there was still some meat on the original clutch discs. With a 94/95 the clutch was a little bigger and I don't see why it shouldn't last up to 200,000m, unless you are regularly down the drag strip? The cost for a shop to change the clutch, incl' the slave cylinder, cutting the flywheel, pilot bearing etc, could run you up to $700. Or you can do it yourself with all the parts for about $300-350
