Hi,
My odometer does not work but my speedo still does. I've read the threads on the subject and I already have the gauge cluster out.
How does the needle come off of the speedometer? Pull straight up (gently) without breaking the brass post/key? I'd like to remove the gauge face to get a good look at the gears to see if one is broken. If so, I may try fixing it with a junkyard donor speedo as has been suggested. Otherwise I'll have to send it away to get fixed at roughly $135 - $150.
I'd like to keep the mileage consistent.
Anyone in the Phila metro area know of a speedo repair place?
Thanks,
Brian
