So yesterday I decided that my current headlight output was poor at best. I took a drive over to AutoZone and picked up a pair of Silver stars. What a difference!!! Not only do they look a hell of a lot better but they also produce quite a bit more light than my stock halogens. I definitely recommend these headlights for anyone not satisfied with our stock halogens.

does that mean I can drive faster without the use of high beams instead over overrunning the lows? I was going to get a pair of just for the ricer HID look, but probably will pick up a set for sure now :D

I bought a pair of SilverStars for my SC last spring and even with my yellowed headlights, they put out far more light than stock h-lights with clear headlights... Can't wait until i pick up my new headlights

I just put them in my winterbeater Ford Exploder.
I do a lot of commuting in the dark.
$35.00 bucks from Walmart.
They do throw a lot more light on the road.
Only down side is....they don't last too long.
Only something like 180 hours. :)

I bought mine almost a year and a half ago and mine are still running strong. I paid $20.00 for the pair at Oreily's..

I have had mine for about a year and I like them. I could probably aim them up a tad bit more but I hate the headlight adjusters on this car with the stupid metal clips. I have broken so many of them its not even funny, so I'll leave them alone.
I have them in my car as well, and wasn't that impressed with them. For the price they charge, I expected a little more out of them. Yes, they are better than the stock or regluar halogen bubls, but I don't think they are that much difference to charge what they do. I have a set of Eaglite brand higher wattage headlights in my truck that I paid less than half of what I did for the Silverstars and they are far brighter. You can get them from www.midnightmoose.com

Scott, do you have Silverstars, or generic Xenon? I thought you had the Competition (headlight) Wiring kit (100W + 80W bulbs) in your car? I'm guessing the black car, right?

This is an old thread that I posted on back in Dec. 04.
However, just an update. The silverstar bulbs just burnt out.
So, in my case they lasted 6 months.
Good thing I kept the old ones, they usually last a few years not months.

I wish I had any idea what kind of bulbs I have in my car. Got them from Dennis' old SC (cira 2000) and they still work great! They are blue 80W low beams and they throw down a real bright light. It's a toss up which are brighter, the high beams or lows. I remember him telling me they were "not the cheap ones", whatever that meant. That was 5 years ago. :/
