CMP AND DTC 214 RESOLVED...for now

Removed CMP and cleaned magnet with electrical contact cleaner and paper towel. Electrical tape on broken plastic sheilding between CMP and CKP sensors (aluminum shielding was showing through and in close relation to engine EMP). Signal for CID is so small that these things will diminish signal strength enough to cause DTC 214 at higher engine RPM's. Perhaps a better CID signal wire should be installed? Anyone out there have an osciliscope and some different wire types to try and see if signal can be improved upon from stock setup? Anyway, it's working now and that's good enough for me.
