Parking Brake Problem

Hi Everyone,
The other night I may have pulled the parking brake on my 90 SC a little too far. Since then the handle will not go all the way down to the console causing the brake light in the dash to come on. Did I stretch the cable? If so do I adjust it, or will it need to be replaced? When I pull the brake it still works, but it just won't stay down in the off position, it pops up a little. I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Ur adjuster might have come loose....its in the back of the differential...you'll see it. Try adjusting that and see if it fixes your problem. IF not, maybe u broke some teeth of the ratcheting mechanism?
