driveshaft vibes

Think I got my vibes narrowed down to the drive shaft and
possibly a harmonic balancer on its last leg
wondering should I just get my shaft balanced -straightened?
or maybe have a new shaft built or aftermarket -these aren't
easy to get at in our cars-so I want to do it right the 1st time
(as if thats possible ona sc!)
thanks for any info

First, unbolt the drive shaft and look at the face of the diff flange, look at the dirt/rust outline created from the original driveshaft position. You'll see some curve marks created by dirt/rust. Line it up the same way and retoque it, you may need to rotate it 180'. Then, loosening your tranny and tranny crossmember bolts and do a test drive, then tightening up again? That will help to let the centerline settle to its own position. If the centerline is off, a new balanced driveshaft won't help because you still have to find the centerline. Hope this helps.

Per your suggestion on prior posts I tried those
things to no avail -although I did discover a broken tranny
mount on that crossmember-that made an intermitten
thunk when I got on it hard
im thinking my shaft was dropped on the ground when the
tranny was done
thanks for the info
