Is your check engine light on? If so, get the Continuous memory codes.

I'm not too familiar with the MAF portion of it, but I have had a cam sensor go bad. I would run codes if I were you, just to see if anything shows up. Autozone does it for free.

Same thing happened to my Fiance's 35th.. It was the Black Sensor Part the goes on top of the MAF... They arent known to go bad all that often, But your symptoms are exactly what hers were..

Hope this helps a lil.

It's no surprise it's giving you trouble if you have no sample tube. Normally just the air thru a roughly half inch tube is cooling the heated wires of the MAF. With no tube, then all the air from 60-70 mm dia is passing across the sensor wires.

Which MAF are you using?? Is it the 73mm or 76mm C&L ?
If there's no sample tube... it'll probably run super rich.

This is what a stock 70mm MAF looks like...

I read in one of you other post that the car is a 91 AOD. They came stock with 30# injectors which should be red.

For 30# injectors w/C&L 73MM meter on a 91, you would use a "silver/clear" sample tube. And like was already said... it won't run worth a damn without a sample tube.

it idles better now when its warm,i just drove it till it got warm and sometimes when i gun it, it wont go and sometimes it does. where should the boost gauge be at when its at idle.mines right under 20.and when i got back and turned it off it made a hiss nose, is that normal?kind in mine it never ran right sence i got it so i dont know how they sound.

Hissing sound usually means a vacuum leak, but 20 inches of vacuum is about right for a stock cam. Fix the MAF first and see how it runs.

BTW, Did you say your injecters were blue ?? They shouldn't be.

yeah they r blue. i think the boost only goes up to about 10psi and its pretty modified.also would a exhaust leak cause any problems?im not sure where it is sounds close to the headers though

I don't know, these are the normal colors.

30# red top
36# purple top
38# red stripe
42# green stripe

I believe the "blue" means they have been upgraded to 36lb, like the later 94/95 models. You can get a replacement sample tube direct from SCP parts and let Bill know what color injectors you have and he'll send you the right size.

i just notice when i take the dipstick out it sucks air. is that normal?

is the dipstick supposed to suck air through it?and my boost only goes up to 10psi,could that be a vac leak?

36# - which were stock on the 94/95 models only.

i just hooked up a aircompessor to my intake at 15psi and the air is coming out the dipstick.what does that mean?
