How to replace ebrake cable

My cable is broken right at the ebrake handle, how would I replace it, I bought the part and need to do it. Do I need to drop the gas tank, if so I can't right now because my full custom exhaust is all welded together as one big piece

E- Brake

In my book for a 91 sc it says to remove the rear seat and console. Maybe the cable runs up through the floor under the rear seat? I dont know man but hopefully this helps, but you shouldnt have to drop the gas tank. Good luck, and let me know how it works out. I need to replace mine too.

I took the center console off it looks to go under the car not under the carpet

i just finished it the cable went under right before the rear seat and I there were two clips holding it up above the gas tank.
