Gauge cluster plastic

My question is about the color of the plastic that goes over the gauges. Did the color vary by interior color? I have a grey one from a 89SC with blue interior and there's a black one in my 92SC with red interior. How do you think my car would look with the grey plastic instead of the black? Just wonderin'.

my 90 has a black one only 90 I have seen so far with one. most are gray then I think it was about in 91 most of them went to black. I like the black more.
