While I have a lot of components removed from my engine I figured I would attempt to replace this gasket instead of paying a mechanic the $410 he wants to charge to do it. I have all intake components off along with the IC IC tubes, and SC. Will this make it easier to do? Or will it still be a major ~~~~ to accomplish? I assume I'll have to drain the block of coolant, correct? Have any of you replaced this gasket? What should I look out for?

Thanks....

One more thing I forgot.....is there an aftermarket hi-perf gasket option like FelPro for this?
