Or you can go through our website at www.spinningwheels-sc.com We will be adding to our inventory, the "SP Performance" Rotors and Pads. These brake Crossed Drilled or Slotted or Both in One. They are Nickel plated, not Cadmium, which lasts much longer. They also diamond cut to reduce brake temperatures as high as 250 degrees F. We will place a post within the next 10 days regarding sizes, upgrades for the Super Coupe and other models as well....Mustangs, Cobras, etc. Thank you! from spinningwheels-sc,LLC

Thanks for your continuing hard work in servicing the SCCOA communuity Victor! I'm looking forward to checking out you rotors and pads selection. Will you also be offering "plain" rotors (not slotted or cross drilled) and larger than stock sizes?

For anyone unfamiliar with Victor at Spinningwheels-SC, he is a great guy to deal with and is genuinely interested in providing the best new and used parts at the most reasonable prices and shipping charges! :) :D

Wohoo. Glad to see the SP Performance rotors will be available from someone helping out our community.

I put a set of their rotors and pads on my Durango back in August. The truck has been stopping better than it did with the stock rotors and pads on it, and the junk that a local Goodyear shop put on a few years ago. I took a look at them just this past weekend and the pads are wearing perfect and the rotors still look like new.

They'll be a good combo to put on my SC this spring.

Hi Guys, Thank you for the positive feedback. I will try to answer some of the questions for you and anyone else that visits this New Product Announcement, plus our new spinningwheels-sc link. Let me start with the "SP Performance Brake Rotors and Pads" Yes we can upgrade to any size you need, we can also cross drill and slot the rotors at the same time. We can just Cross drill them or just slot them, one or the other, or both...they also have a Diamond cuts in them, and yes there are just the non-slotted or cross drilled. "SP Rotors" also have the standard plain rotors. If you wish to go that route, they are still rotors and pads. Here are some facts on why they are a great set: The slotted and the diamond cuts help release the gases that build up in between the pad and the rotor . The slotted help to reduce braking distances "by providing a sronger bite. Drilled Rotors provide cooling to redce tempertures thus reducing the the likelyhood of warpage; hey also provide faster and better braking under wet conditions. I have tried a few different sets of brakes. These I studied for 3 months maybe 4, and then once we were convinced, we took the plunge. We also want to mention that the nickel plating is only $5.00 per wheel and out lasts the Cadmium coating by far. We are grateful to the entire SCCoA community. Please drive careful, and remember not to brake the 100 MPH speed limit. Make sure you have good stopping brakes...they are an important feature. :) ;)
All Our Best All of you!

From Wilwoods FAQ section of their website:

Q: Why are some rotors drilled or slotted?

A: Rotors are drilled to reduce rotating weight, an issue near and dear to racers searching for ways to minimize unsprung weight. Drilling diminishes a rotor's durability and cooling capacity.

Slots or grooves in rotor faces are partly a carryover from the days of asbestos pads. Asbestos and other organic pads were prone to "glazing" and the slots tended to help "scrape or de-glaze" them. Drilling and slotting rotors has become popular in street applications for their pure aesthetic value. Wilwood has a large selection of drilled and slotted rotors for a wide range of applications.

We noted your recent thread regarding cross drilled and slotted brakes and appreciate the link to the FAQs. We failed to place a picture of the non-slotted, non-drilled rotor on our post. We do carry the non-slotted, non-drilled rotors as well. There are some people who Do like the aesthetics for whatever reason. SP Performance carries quality products and we will sell that at a very good price for the SCCoA community. We look forward to assisting you in anything that you might need. We do carry many other products as well. Thanks for your information and other link.
Best Regards,
Victor and Diane
