I am assembling my new intake setup as one piece while off the car. The 3.5" CAI tube/pipe has a longer and a shorter section to it in relation to the vacuum hose fitting in it's underside. It isn't a huge difference and may go unnoticed by some until they are wondering why their filter won't fit in the bay. My question is.... does the longer section mate to the TB or the MAF? If it mates to the TB, then this will position the air filter closer to the front of the car b4 turning ever so slightly downward. Which is fine...it's just that I don't have the luxury of doing a test fit to see which way it fits best, so I figured I'd ask here. As always....thanks!!

Paul I believe the part of the intake with the brass nipple on it goes to the front.

On my intake tube the hole for the fitting is on the bend.
