I dynoed my car today and it made pretty decent numbers. I do not have a scanner so i just will post numbers. It made

RPM Power Torque A/F
1700 111 344 13.9
1800 121 353 13.9
1900 130 359 14.0
2000 138 364 14.1
2100 147 369 14.2
2200 157 375 14.2
2300 165 378 13.8
2400 174 380 13.5
2500 182 382 13.2
2600 191 386 13.1
2700 198 386 13.0
2800 206 390 12.0
2900 213 388 12.9
3000 221 386 12.8
3100 226 383 12.8
3200 233 382 12.7
3300 238 380 12.7
3400 244 377 12.7
3500 249 374 12.6
3600 254 371 12.6
3700 258 366 12.6
3800 260 360 12.5
3900 264 356 12.5
4000 266 349 12.4
4100 266 341 12.4
4200 268 335 12.4
4300 270 327 12.3
4400 267 319 12.2
4500 266 310 12.0
4600 265 302 12.1
4700 262 293 12.3
4800 260 289 12.4
4900 258 283 12.6

So it made 270rwhp at 4300rpm and 390rwtq at 2800. The modifications consist of intake, exhaust, 5% blower pulley, magnum powers inlet plenum, and a ported inlet on the blower, but a stock outlet. I still have the stock intercooler and stock fuel system. Made 3 dyno pulls and the second lost 10hp and the third lost a total of 20hp and 13lbstq. The first one was the best.

Do these numbers seem good/right to you guys. What quarter mile and mph do you guys estimate with these numbers. I was thinking that is a good tq number, but i dont know.

thanks

dynoed car

Nice numbers you are very lean down low. Af numbers are really important thats how most of the folks blow up on here. But i dont know much about tuning im a superchips dealer lol. I would get some sort of custom chip and get the car around 11.8-11.5 on the street. On race gas you can get away with a little bit leaner tune.

Those are amazing numbers for the listed mods. Your car is a freak to pull 270 rwhp without nitrous

How much did your dyno cost? and does anyone know the average cost of a dyno?

Thanks

Chad

btw, rwhp = rearwheel horse power ?

I really dont have any comparison so i didnt know if it was good or not. I knew the torque was. I thought it was weird that is made 344lbstq at 1700 rpm.

Yes, rwhp is rear wheel horsepower. I got 3 pulls with A/F for $60.

A question for experienced SC'ers, should i get a chip after a FMIC, MAF, fuel pump, and injectors or does it matter. I dont think i am going to get gears soon unless i get some stickies.

thanks for the compliments

I think they want to see the chart. Especially when you have such exceptional results.

I will go to wal mart and steal a scanner real quick.

theres like 95 views and 4 replies. Oh well. I can tape the chart to my computer screen, but i dont think you will see it.

You might be able to take a floppy disk and have them copy it to disk for you so you would not have to scan it. I believe most Dynos have that ability. They store your runs so you can compare the next time you come in.

yeah it probably is. If you dont believe me ask davidz because he was there with his supercoupe also.

Thanks you Chadder. I'll tell you what youre supposed to do. You get a $1000 right, go buy an '89 SC 5-spd thats blue and paint is all faded, has fake hood scoops, pink stripes and weird pink designs, has two synchronizers gone out of the transmission, sunroof doesnt shut all the way, power seats dont work, has 150,000 miles on it, and somehow its a freak. I had to buy a late model blower off of ebay for $260 and put exhaust on it and it runs a full second better and 5mph faster(numbers in my sig).

Nice numbers, the torque is especially high for the mods you've got. With 280 rwhp and less torque my 91 AOD ran 13.3 just about every pass. Yours should be very close if you don't get wheel hop launching it.

That's a good price for the dyno, where are you? Around here it's about $80 for three pulls.

You might as well do the whole fuel system when you do the FMIC and then get a dyno tune with chip burn to get good control of your A/F ratio.

yeah i was there, my car made 268.8 hp at 4500 and 380 trq at 2900
my mods are in my sig. i will have pics of my engine and my dyno sheet in the link in my sig soon.

A lot of times, it's the change to bigger injectors that makes the chip worth it, or even necesary.

Well, i dont think that you'd want to go ahead and put a FMIC on your car after you get a chip burnt because it would change the rate of the injectors. We'll see though.
