Well its almost like mini pops in the exhaust,,,like a rev limiter of some sorts..could it be the knock sensor kicking in?...Any idea guys??

My bet would be on wires.

I agree on that possibility, you are most likely hearing slight backfire. If the wires are worn, the plugs probably are too. When did you last change these items? Make sure to use only Motorcraft or Autolite double platinum plugs, and Motorcraft or Magnacore wires. Technically I believe its possible you're leaning out, but plugs&wires are more likely. Check your fuel filter just in case. How many miles are on your car?

Edit: After rereading your mods, I have to ask, do you have any fuel system upgrades, like injectors or a new fuel pump? It seems to me with those mods you should. How recent is this problem?

I have this same thing going on. Like you I suspect it is the knock sensor based on my previous experience with my SVO turbo motors. I am still breaking the engine in so for the present time I am avoiding revving over 4500. I have new wires and plugs, so ignition is less likely. I suspect my problem is from a lean injector but don't know how to confirm it.

Know of where or how to test injectors? Especially a location in Eastern Canada?
