ride control & ABS ecu's

Do they have to be mounted the way they are, up under the rear deck or can I move them and mount them up/down or sideways? Do they have to be flat like they are, with the sticker that says " this side up" facing down?

I need to move those ecu's to make room for the audio system I am transferring from the other bird.

I don't think it matters how the ABS computer is mounted as the stock location on Lincoln Continentals is sideways on a bracket behind the seatback. I would make sure that all sides including the finned ends are exposed to prevent it from overheating.
The only problem that I can imagine with mounting these modules sideways or upside down would be that ICs (chips) could potentially work loose from their sockets. You can open the ride control computer to check if all the ICs are soldered to the printed circuit board.
