SC valve cover

im in the process of reassembling my motor. when i pulled it i found one stamped steel vave cover on the drivers side and a cast one on the passenger side. are they both suposed to be steel or case or mixed like they are.

they are supposed to be MAGNESIUM.... not steel or anything else... maybe someone fabricated some out of the NA 3.8.ss for ur vehicle... or something...

All years were cast magnesium except for the 93 model year, which were stamped steel. Sounds like someone used one of each!
