Hey guys, i just posted earlier in the technical about a starting problem, would turn over at all so i was looking for suggestions what to do, (id link to that thread but dont know how) so i go back, clean up the terminals, still no start, so i jump the starter relay and voila cranks and fires... Consequently blows my HG's. Im wonder this, (correct or inform me of the possiblity of this please) If my heads leaked into the cylinders when i shut the car off, (about hour and a half before the big bang, and this big bang theory) could my motor "hydrolock"(this is the big if here, im not 100% on what a hydrolocked motor is please inform) assuming it could and this colant/oil creates a hydrolock, if this lock was strong enough to stop the starting from cranking the motor could jumping the relay provide a stronger "crank" thus breaking the hydrolock but doing so with enough pressure to also blow a HG? If this whole idea is beyond the wall in left field just let me know. If it is possible, would it be a likely scenario? Thanks from NWT Canada for your teachings to come (i hope)

people live up there? If you jumpered it and everything was working fine there would be a huge arc. um when your heads leaked into the cylinder that means you blew your gaskets, that lock you're talking about is when water fills the cylinders and prevents movement of the pistons, so if you have water in your cylinders that means change your head gaskets. Also after you have cleaned off the block deck surface, bring each piston as high as it can go and lay a straight edge across the deck and measure with a feeler gauge how far each piston sits, if you're off by more than a few thou. it probably means you bent a rod, but if it started fine after and made no noise(clanging etc) usually means they're ok.

Jumping the starter relay with a screw driver and using the ignition switch provide the same battery voltage to the starter. So...no, jumping the starter relay didn't blow the head gaskets.
