I am tring to brake the tension strutrod nut loose
that gos through the lower control arm.I want to
change the tension strutrod bushing to control-arm.

I have done about every trick, but just cut it off
with a torch and replace with a new one.

I sprayed with oil
I have a air rachet that i have jackhamered the nut for 30min straight.
I have heated it with a torch.

I am to the point that I am going to need to buy a tubed k-member
for the bird I drive daily.I don't seem to be able to get the stock parts
apart.

Anyone got any ideas how to get this nut off.

Randy I used a braker bar with a 3 foot pipe. It seems to me that was the easy part,. Taking the entire spindle, brake balljoints apart was the tough
part. I did this to just about all my birds at one point. Oh yah my impact laughed at this nut

I got it off.Now to get the rest off to change the strut rod bushing.
It just spun off after I took my break.

Thanks Randy

I had to put a torch to mine and really heat that sucker up. I think Ford put Locktite Red on those threads.

Got the strutrod bushing in the LX.Now I am starting to change some
upper control arm bushings on my SC.Got the upper rear control arm
off.It looks just fine. But the arm would wiggle back and forth on the
inside bolt, when pushing and pulling on the rear wheel.

I can't deside whether to buy some poly or just use stock type rubber bushings.

how much higher priced is poly Vs stock type bushings?

And would the poly last longer?

I plan to never sell this car.If that makes a differrents.I am only
rebuilding the rear suspension. The front end has new heim joints,
for bushings.

Anyone have an opinion on the pros & cons between the two?

Thanks Randy
