When ever I rev the engine it seems to rev to long. It will shoot right up to 3k with a tap of the gas but instead of it reving up and commin down it seems to rev for a few seconds then comes down. Is this bad and if it is how do i fix it?

I had a simular stuation a while back. Mine was a a vacumm leak. I had the intercooler top air inlet tube off and it wasn't sealed properly, corrected that and it was remidied. So check all vacumm lines and SC plumbing.
Good luck

I'd say that when it hangs up like that is usually a sign of a bad IAB/C valve that's on the side of the throttle body. It controls the idle air that bypasses the throttle plate and is notorious for getting fouled up over time. You can take a chance and try & clean it with an electrical safe spray or very small paint brush (try to remove the dirt off the white bellows inside the valve passage). However, generally it's better to just replace it.
