Has anyone else had the 3-4 shift rail in their transmission break? I've gone through two of them. Only thing I can figure is that it's under more stress than it should be because my syncros are shot. Is this a common problem with these things, and if so, how do I fix it. I don't want to just replace it again without figuring out what is causing it to break. I appreciate all help, advice, criticism, etc. that anyone can provide. thanks

It takes extreme abuse to beak shifting forks. WTH are you doing??? If you continue to shift gears when the syncros are bad you have caused severe damage to some expensive and discontinued parts in the tranny. Better start looking for another transmission.

My thoughts exactly....look for a used M5R2 around here (couple hundred), order a set of 1-4 blockers from Liberty...and start mixing and matching the best parts between the two.
