I had a friend run a scan on the sc, he comes up with
"CID Code 19, CID Sensor failure, Could you please
advise, what is the cid sensor, could this cause the
car to buck. Where is the CID sensor located. Is this
a repair i could do, or would you recommend a pro,
please advise thanks Tom

I have to say I think that's your cam sensor. And yes, you can do it yourself, and yes, a bad cam sensor will cause your car to buck. It can also mess with your tach, but not always.

It's about a 5 minute job to replace. The cam sensor is located right underneath the SC snout. You unplug the wire harness, remove the two bolts (5.5mm I think?) and lift it off. Be careful not to drop those bolts!!! Really easy to lose!!! Put the new one on, screw it down and plug in.
