supercharger oil??

i checked my supercharger oil the other day and it was full but it was dark in color almost black???is that normal or should i change it?? btw it has about 2,000 miles on it and the fluid is from gm

Its fine.. GM fluid works fine but I'd change it at least every 60,000 miles or so as I don't believe its as durable as the Ford Synthetic.

Engine oil turns dark due to combustion gases getting into the motor and contaminating the oil.

SC oil just sits in gears and spins. It shouldn't really change much color over time. Did you just look in the hole, or did you extract some fluid to look at it?

As long as it was the GM supercharger fluid it should be fine.
