I was heading down Battlefield Blvd. in Chesapeake last night and got a light across from Chesapeake General Hospital. Well an Accord 4-dr and an Integra hatchback come hauling up in the lanes next to me and they were revving at each other at the light. I'm like "I know I should contain myself, but there is no one out here" and I really wanted to rub it in to these to rice boys. They had no clue that the silver tbird w/ limo tinted windows was anything to worry about. Light goes green and I spin through the intersection (gotta love my snow tires), get a nice chirp by the accords window going into 2nd. I was standing on the gas since if I don't literally hold body weight on the gas it will shift out of 2nd at like 3800 rpms.
I run 2nd out to 70 mph and then hit 3rd and pull to about 90. Yes I know this is not smart. At this time I had about 6 cars on the integra and about 7.5 on the accord. Catch a light a little farther down. Same thing. I roll the window down, and ask the guy in the accord "you sure you want some more of that? why don't you take your mom's car home, I'm sure she wouldn't be happy to find out you are trying to be a race car driver with it". He replies "whatever, I wasn't trying". So I said, "go ahead and try this time, I'll give you a head start."
Light goes green and they are both off, I count to 3, then stand on it but leave it in D to pick its own gears. I caught them at 50 mph and pulled to about 75 and had about 2 car lengths on the integra and about 3 on the accord.
The integra and I both turn on Volvo Pkwy and the accord goes up toward I-64. I get the light at Sams Dr. w/ the integra so I just had to ask him "you wanna go out of the city and run for cash?" He was like "you probably don't have anything, so I pull about $400.00 out of my pocket and start flipping through 20's at him" he replies "no thats ok, you would kill me" and I told him "you're right, so why did you keep trying?" He told me the kid in the honda was messing with him and he had no idea that I was anything special at the light. He goes thats the fastest tbird I've ever seen, what you got a 5.0?" I told him "no just a V6" to hurt his pride a little more. He goes "whats the hood pins for?" I said "hood latch broke" and with that the light turned green and I took off and he just kept his distance behind me. I turned onto Crossways and he headed down toward Greenbrier.
It was great, I love putting ricers in their place. But I am SO glad we didn't get stopped. Thats enough of that for me. I am old enough to know better but I guess I'm still a kid at heart.
