so im working on my harmonic balancer because it cracked off the block while i was driving and i have a new one to replace it with. it was a major pain because the bolt was still broke off in the hole so after battling with the easy out and having to re-tap the hole the broken piece of the harmonic balancer is still on there. HOW CAN I GET IT OFF??? i dont think i can use a regular puller because of the way it broke off and i dont want to ruin the seal that is inside it... someone please help im about to just blow the car up

I believe people in the past have had to drill some small pilot holes in the remaining parts of the shaft and then screw in some sheet metal screws, using that to pull the remaining part off the crankshaft.

You have to be very...very careful not to score the surface of the crankshaft.

seal

also, is it easy to get a replacement seal from a local autozone? im not to sure about this whole seal deal. can i even replace it?
