Ok I know you guys are going to be disappointed, but I let a girl with little manual experience drive my super coupe. Its not often girls are impressed with a 92’ T-bird, so when she asked if she could drive it, I couldn’t say no.

Long story short, she stalled it like 5 times. I’ve always heard different things about the damage stalling does to the car, but I’m not sure what to believe. Can you guys fill me in on what effects stalling has? Thanks.

Maybe she likes the bucking / lurching feeling........ :D

At least she didn't ride the clutch while revving the engine!!!!

other than making you look like an *** and pissing people behind you off...as far as i know of stalling has no effect on the car :)

Maybe she knew that in letting her drive your Bird, you would expect something in return and she was just stalling. :D :D :D ;)

I think your car will be ok.

Dammit!! Why did you say that?

It pisses me off when people do that. I'm mad now.

The first time I let my girlfriend drive my SC she stalled it a few times. She wasn't used to the hydraulic clutch since it has a lot more pressure than the cable clutch she had in her Toyota. Once she figured out how to get it rolling smooth, she did good. So good that when she wrecked her car, I let her have my 92 for a year. You should have seen the looks she got (and yells, whistles, etc...) rolling around the beach in my black SC.

I was wanting to break in my 90 since I had just fixed the head gaskets, then I was going to let her drive it and I was going to take the 92 back, but somehow that never happened. She told me to take the tint off the windows so she wouldn't get stopped for it, and I told her that I was not going to remove it, so she can just keep driving my 92.

I could hear that car in the morning when she'd leave for work. Some days I'd still be in bed in the apartment and I could hear the exhaust as she pulled out of the parking lot, and went down the road and over the hill. And I could always tell when she got home even if I had the tv on.

what pissed you off about that? did you have a bad clutch experience?
No I just hate when people ride clutches. I can hear it from a mile away.

Mostly women do it. My step mom does.
