just a thoguht iw as having but to imporve teh design of a doule interccoler couldnt u move them about and inch apart adn jam a 8" fan between them therefor ensureing that they stay frosty:p

I hear ya Tyler I had an IC questions last week and didn't get a single response.

My feeling is that sandwiching the fan between the cores wouldn't be any better than a fan mounted on a more traditional double IC. You haven't increased airflow or core surface area. Never mind the technical difficulties of sealing the center of the end tanks where the cores are separated and mounting the fan.

Most people would not do that because it would move the flanges too far back for the stock tubes to be used.

I really don't see too much of a benefit. You would probably get a few more cfm out of the fan which would help heat transfer (convection coefficient) but that is it.

Put a bigger fan on and save the headache, or go to a liquid to air ic.
