sup guy's, on my 89 SC i have some exhaust work done and a 5% supercharger overdrive.

i dont understand much on the jackshaft pulleys, if i add a 5% JS will i be overdriving the SC 10% now? how does this work? cause i always hear how good these pulleys are

Yes, you would have 10%, plus you would lower your rotating mass because the new pulley is lighter than the factory steel pulley. I have also read that you don't need to change belt sizes if you do that.

I would recommend improving on your intercooler before you go to 10%.

I have a 5% blower pulley and a 5% jackshaft pulley. The differance in the weight of the jackshaft pulley is a bunch. I picked up about 1.5 lbs of boost when I put the jackshaft pulley on. Keep in mind I have only mufflers off my headers and 2 1/4 pipes dual exhaust. Less back pressure will give you a lot less boost. I just put on Ryan Harris underdrive pulleys and they helped a bunch too. The lighter you make the rotating mass the quicker the motor wil wind up. It also really adds to the bling bling factor.
