proper S/C pulley position

After replaced snout seal I was unsure how far back (toward firewall) to position the S/C pulley. I eyeballed it with the tensioner pulley. After assembly and running around for a day noticed belt separation on the front side (toward the radiator) of the belt. Looking parrallel to the installed belt it does appear the pulley is slightly too far back (see first pic). Notice amount of exposed shaft threading (see second pic). Should the nut be flush? Anyone have input on an untouched or (more) professional installion?

thanks in in advance. This forum has been a priceless wealth of information.
