West coast meet???

I remember there was some talk about haveing the north west guys come down to do a west coast meet. Is anybody still interested in that or was it not going to work out? I think it would be cool to have the west get together. Any thoughts?

How's it going? A west coast meet would be great. Have any suggestions for a location. What do you think about Bidwell Park, Whiskeytown Lake? Bidwell might be good places to bar-b-que , Oroville Lake also might be good, Maybe we could get some pics on the Dam and around the lake. Just some Ideas.

Bidwell or Lake Oroville would both be nice. I've never been to whiskey town lake before though, is it nice up there? I'll start checking things our around here and see what looks best. Where should i go to talk to the northwest guys? The closest i could find was a western canada forum...

I think you're right about the W. Canada board. I haven't ventured too much onto their board. I guess all we can do is post it and see what happens. Whiskeytown Lake is real pretty. There are a few places that we might be able to get the cars in a group with the lake in the background. If you are really intersted I can drive up there and talk to the rangers and get more info. The only real drawback is paying money for day use. We have a pass that lets us use the lake and enter Mt. Lassen Park.(another awesome ride, lots of places to park and walk around etc).

Well i ran the idea by the western canada guys and they definately seemed interested. They just want some more details on dates/locations. So far we have, Lake Oroville, Whiskytown Lake, and Bidwell Park.
I've never actually been to Whiskeytown lake but it looks really nice from what i've seen. Dose any one know if it costs anything to get in or if it's set up for a pretty big group???
What do you guys think as far as dates? Do you guys really want to wait till after august 24th? How many would like to do it before that? After?

How about after the Labor Day weekend. Things quiet down alot and there should be no problems getting into any of these places. I'll check on Whiskeytown.
