Mine are on their way out and I'm just wondering whats the deal when changing them, I can already tell the gas tank needs to come down, what else do I need to know?

drop the gas tank and have a bench vise on hand is the best way to do it

Gas tank does NOT need to come down. Un bolt the 4 bolts on the diff. that hold the driveshaft on. Then un bolt the diff. from the fram of the car and pull it out of the way. VIOLA! Slide the drive shaft out. Thats how I got mine out and at first sight, I also thought the gas tank had to come down.

Be sure to use lok-tite, or equivilent on the 4 bolts that hold the driveshaft to the diff. Mine weren't even finger tight when I pulled my driveshaft out because there was no lok-tite on them.

Not sure what you mean this. It should just slide right out.

But, yes, be sure to mark the flange so you it goes back in the same location. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

I second the need for loc-tite. If you don't use it, the bolts will eventually loosen up enough to give you a vibration on the freeway at high speeds.
