"Need info please"

Due to the fact I cant seam to sell the Silver Bullet even at very low price. I need to know if anyone in California has Kooks headers and had there SC smogged? I got long tube headers with O2's in the collectors with SCPI big dog exhaust system. I was thinking of getting a Lentech Street Terminator trans and try to smog this car it has the EEC tuner set and tunned maybe pull the fuel pressure back to 30lbs run it lean for the test. be nice to drive it go cruising and race it on Wed night drive it to the track. been trying to save enough money to get a new trans there like $3500.00 not cheap. this thing is WICKED sounding with the Coy Miller Cogged pulley system and 19.5lbs of boost pressure talk about move over Rice Rockets. XR7 Dave posted a nice picture of it from Vegas on my post in Cars for sale forum. it brought back fond memories it would be nice drive it once again if I can get enough to get the trans

Jim,
It probably won't be an problem, but it depends on the guy doing the visual inspection. I have black coated Mac headers, and the guy did notice them, but from above it's hard to tell whether it's a header or a stock tubular manifold. I also took off the ZR intake and a couple other obvious non-stock pieces in the engine.

Do you have the dyno smog test requirement up there in hillybilly county? ;) We do here, and my SC didn't pass the first time - high NOx. You may need to use the EEC tuner to retard the timing (as much as 6-10 degrees or more) to help fix that for the test.

You should get the bullet running again, it's too nice a car to sit. And if you still plan to sell it it will be a lot easier if it's driveable.
