Well were do I start? Got the car running today and found a few more things wrong. Its a 92 red 5speed. I bought because I felt sorry for the car as so many had worked on it just to mess it up. I was told it had a brand new motor and trans. It at least looked like it but that was far from the truth. Oh it had new gaskets and something had been done to the trans like clutch and slave cyinder. After rebuilding the entire engine I sat back and reflected.
Here is what was wrong with the car, wrong thrmostat gasket, wires to maf all shorted together, broken wires to cam sensor oil pan drain plug stripped,2 blowe top bolt stripped, 2 fly wheel bolts stripped, balancer pully had 3 bolts because it was not on right,1/2 of engine bolts missing, idler pullys fried, blower seal shot, maf was all cut up and drilled out, motor on master cyinder fried, low speed fan shot, arc system shot, water pump leaked out weep hole, ps pump fried, ps pully bent all to hell, wrong spark plugs, vac hoses hooked up to washers. starter fried, spring on tb broke, fuel lines kinked at rail, wiper motor fried, no breater tube, u joints clunking, cowels missing, air conditioner condencer and drier missing, all ground staps missing, brakes are shot, bolb is missing from ck engine light, fog light switch fried, hole in rear bumper the size of a soft ball, cat are both broke up and rattling. probly more to come. One of the guys that ownd thecar who the car asked what was wrong with it. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dont have that kinda time. Other than that its a cream puff with 203k

I don't know how you do it, or why you do it. You've got the SC bug BAD. Glad to see that tho, as you have saved 8 SCs from either going to the crusher or being driven to death. The last guy seemed to have hacked that car up pretty good. Any good news on the title hunt? What are you planning on doing with this car, selling or keeping? Maybe i'll have to make my way up to your area for a meet this summer, i'd definately like to see the car, and I know you'd prob. like to see/drive mine ;) .

I might keep it as the body is a little ruff but it takes away the fear of it getting nicked up in a parking lot :D Im still in limbo on the title but these guys have no idea how much trouble there in for if I dont hear from them soon. It is a fellony in IL to jump title. 3 counts here. Now to fix the brakes, hood, wiper motor and paint the hood and back bumper. If I sell it now I will lose money at 3k  at this rate I might as well keep it as almost everything has been replaced. Of all the things ive lost, I miss my mind the most :D

You know that i vote for ya to keep it. Like you said, you've already put time and money into it, be a shame to get rid of it now. I hope you get everything with the title cleared up soon and get that car on the road. You plan on attending the Midwest Bash? I don't know if I can schedule around working, but i'd sure love to go. If not, i'll be up in your area for some minimeets i'm sure. Interested in seeing the SC and your sons Z28, sounds like its gonna be a monster  .

Thanks, I feel better now. I though mine was rough. I see I don't have any problems at all. :D

Were you aware of most of these problems when you bought the car?

I have almost the same situation......

The car seems to be in very good condition......

But, as I have found in the past, looks can be deceiving....

The funny part is the car looked well taken care of but after I got it running was whan I found out most of the problems. Someone kept the out side in nice shape and let everything else go. On the inside get this everything works perfect but the wipers.
