The HT2205 lifter is a stock replacement for the 3.8 and 5.0 motors with factory roller cams. So the pushods still work. As for the older flat tappet hydraulics, I can only assume they would work. But I'd never go back to a flat tappet. If anything, going with a solid roller would be the way to go. Although the juice roller cams have been hard enough to keep valve trains together.
